Superaustenitic steel "HCR" 1.4529 (A8)

MAIN HCR STAINLESS-STEEL CHARACTERISTICS

  • Wealth of alloy elements such as molybdenum (about 6%), nickel (about 25%), nitrogen (about 0.20%) and chromium (about 20%) which in this are present in a superior quantity than in austenitic steels more commonly used to produce screws (AISI 304 and 316)
  • High content of manganese alloy elements up to 1%
  • Test voltage and tensile strength higher than standard Cr-Ni and Cr-Ni-Mo grades
  • High mechanical and physical performance, especially for the excellent protection against corrosion. For this last characteristic is also known as HCR (High Corrosion Resistant)
  • Excellent ductility and strength
  • Used in "particularly aggressive" environments such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, water treatment even in the presence of chlorine - desalination - bleaching of paper pulp - hydrometallurgy - pharmaceutical and agri-food sector
