Production technologies: cold forming, coining and rolling | UBB
How we manufacture at UBB

Every project has its story
And we write it with you. We manage everything in-house: we help you choose the best solution and follow every stage, from design to production, thanks to fully internal manufacturing. If needed, we find the right suppliers for heat treatments, coatings, and lacquering.
And when the product is ready? We’re with you on-site or on the production line to test it in the field. Or you can visit the UBB demo room: our fastening systems speak for themselves.
- cold forming: the metal wire is deformed cold and under pressure inside a mold. It’s our flagship process, and we’ve dedicated a detailed page to it;
- coining: a precision process that refines and compacts the product surface to improve strength and aesthetics;
- thread rolling: a process that creates the fastening thread under pressure, increasing strength and durability;
- milling: an additional process performed on shanks and tips to adapt the piece to project requirements.

What our machines can do
Our production department boasts a modern machine fleet, ready to handle very complex processes.
UBB fastening systems are created through progressive cold forming of a metal wire. We work with wires from 1 mm to 12 mm, in lengths from 2 mm to 200 mm.
The results are high-performance pieces, produced in both large batches and smaller quantities, always with the same attention to detail.

The materials we work with
In addition to classic A2 and A4 stainless steels, we produce special screws and small metal parts using more complex and non-standard materials, such as A5, D6, and A8, as well as brass and other ferrous metals.
